  • The Community Theatre 373 Main Street Catskill, NY, 12414 United States (map)

What happens when Lunatics take over the old vaudeville  theater? Lunacy of course! Our trio of  fearless comedians will wow you with musical mayhem, daring feats of skill, random acts of stupidity, all tied together with a whole lotta funny.  Bring the kids, or leave em at home, it’s fun for everyone—but don’t miss it!

Starring Andy Sapora, Jenny Lee Mitchell & Peter Daniel Straus

Peter Daniel Straus You might know Peter best from his original creation "Pierre the Mime" infiltrating not one but TWO of TV's most popular Universes: Impractical Jokers and Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Peter has been a physical comedian since he was a kid, getting his professional start juggling on the streets of Georgetown in Washington, DC in the early 1980s at the ripe age of 14 years old. After studying acting at Sarah Lawrence College and the British American Drama Academy, he then trained as a clown at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College and toured America with the show on a mile-long circus train. Over the decades, he has exploited his comedic superpowers in many worlds: on The Late Show with David Letterman; at the Metropolitan Opera; as a pediactric Clown Doctor with The Big Apple Circus (in many of New York hospitals—fake doctor, very real hospitals); as The White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland at the National Stage of Norway; and all over the globe — the Caribbean, Japan, China, Thailand, and more — all through using the universal language of physical comedy to connect with people to make them laugh.  Peter lives just across the river from Catskill.

Andy Sapora has been a Flying Karamazov Brother, a hospital clown and has taken a principal bow at the metropolitan opera for a non-singing role.  He teaches clown and improv in the NYC area. He lives atop a mountain and heats his house with wood.

Jenny Lee Mitchell  a native New Yorker and NYC performer who lived abroad for 20 years performing mostly musical theater. She studied classical voice, and physical clowning in Europe and experimental theater at NYU and works in the neo-vaudeville, clown and burlesque scene creating acts for international festivals, and in the New York Variety show scene. She also sings and plays jazz clarinet.
